What We Believe
1. Scripture: We believe the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. Scripture is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
2. God: We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. Son: We believe that the eternally existing Son of God, Jesus Christ, is God made flesh—both fully God and fully Man. Jesus lived a sinless life, was crucified on the cross, was dead and buried for three days, rose from the dead, and received a glorified body. He then ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of the Father, waiting to return to earth where he will judge the living and the dead.
4. Holy Spirit: We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Spirit regenerates the believing sinner. Upon regeneration, the Spirit indwells, guides, instructs, and empowers the believer for godly living and service.
5. Man: We believe that Man was created in the image of God—both male and female.
6. The Fall: We believe that Man rebelled against God, allowing sin to enter the world, bringing death and separation from God. As a result, all are born into sin and are unable to escape the wrath of God by their own effort.
7. Salvation: We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and his resurrection to life provide the only means for justification before God.
8. Ordinances: We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper are to be observed by those who have repented of sin and placed their faith in Jesus Christ.
9. Return of Christ: We believe in the personal and imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ who will judge the living and the dead, and will make all things new.
10. Eternity: We believe that all those in Christ will be eternally redeemed and restored into a right relationship with God where we will see him face to face and live with him eternally in the new heaven and new earth. We also believe that those who have rejected Christ will be condemned in hell and forever separated from God.
