Small Groups:
What are Small Groups?
-Small Groups are gatherings of 10-15 people that meet throughout the week for the purpose of Christian study, prayer, and community. Groups often alternative between studying the Bible, working through a curriculum based resource, and walking through a Christian top-seller. We have groups for women, college/young adults, and mixed.
Why are Small Groups?
- In our individualized and often times isolated culture, it is far too easy to walk into a Sunday gathering, take a seat, enjoy the show, and step out the front door without ever making a connection. These are not the type of gatherings modeled by the New Testament church. Instead, followers of Christ are called to live in authentic community with each other; we want to foster and live in Christian community marked by confession, encouragement, prayer, and vulnerability. Small groups are the primary means by which Crossroads can live out the biblical call found in Hebrews to “spur one another on toward love and good deeds” and to “encourage one another.”
